Xu Bu now serves as the president of China Institute of International Studies. Dr. Xu was born in Danyang, Jiangsu Province in November 1962 and graduated with a PhD in Law. Studied at Nanjing University, China Foreign Affairs University, Wuhan University and the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies. He began his career as a diplomat since 1986 in Consulate General in Karachi, Embassy in the U.K and Canada, and Chinese MFA. Later, Dr. Xu Bu served as Ambassador to ASEAN（2015-2018) and Chile (2018-2020).
