The First Board Meeting of CSARC held in Singapore

On 22 July 2016, the board of directors of the CSARC held the first board meeting in Singapore. The attendees included scholars and experts from think tanks of China, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines, among the others.

The participants discussed the research scope, mechanism building, future development and prospective cooperation relating to the CSARC. Dr. Wu Shicun, President of National Institute for South China Sea Studies was elected Chairman of the board of CSARC. And Mr. Jusuf Wanandi, vice chairman of CSIS Indonesia, was elected vice chairman of the board of CSARC.

This meeting marked the official functioning of the CSARC.
