Currently Trustee of the Philippine Institute for Development Studies, Chair of the Asia-Pacific Pathways to Progress Foundation, Inc. and the Center for the Advancement of Trade Integration and Facilitation, and Board director in several companies. Previously served as Secretary of Energy of the Philippines, Professor of Law at the University of the Philippines, and Regional Programme Coordinator of the GEF-UNDP-PEMSEA Sustainable Development of East Asian Seas project.
