On the afternoon of November 12, the 14th session of "Huayang Talk", co-hosted by the Huayang Center for Maritime Cooperation and Ocean Governance, the National Institute for South China Sea Studies (NISCSS), and Hainan Today, was held at the Huayang Center's Haikou office.
Huayang Center researchers Bao Yinan and Chen Qi respectively reported on their recent participation in the 17th South China Sea International Conference in Vietnam and Chairman Wu Shicun's attendance at the 2nd Manila Dialogue on the South China Sea. They shared key takeaways and observations from both events, and engaged in discussions with attending scholars on topics such as the current South China Sea situation and strengthening China's efforts in the narrative and cognitive competition of the South China Sea discourse.
Wu Shicun, Chairman of the Huayang Center and Chairman of the Academic Committee of the NISCSS, and Zhou Yong, Vice President of NISCSS, attended the event and delivered remarks. More than 40 researchers and representatives from the co-hosting institutions participated in the event.
The session was chaired by Xu Xiaodong, Executive Vice Chairman of the Huayang Center.
